Removal
Step 1
Squeeze the seat base toward the back of the car, then up, then release. Do this for both sides. The seat base is not screwed or bolted down – it is held in place by a bar and a hook. The bar is under constant tension, keeping it from coming loose. There is a hook under the center of each side, so you’ll have to do this once directly behind each of the front seats. The whole seat base will come out as one assembly in all models, including the coupes with the rear seat center cupholders.
Installation
Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to get the seatbelt latches placed where they need to go before latching the seat base back in place.
